Water Safety Programme
Perfect Stroke Swimming’s Water Safety Programme is loads of fun!
The swimming coaches, employed by Perfect Stroke Swimming are qualified through Swimming South Africa and believe in their motto “Every child a swimmer”.
The goal of the Perfect Stroke Swimming Water Safety Programme is to encourage water safety through an understanding of the rules that keep us safe in and around the water and to assist students in becoming waterborne through a series of fun activities.
Marist Brothers Linmeyer believes that water safety is an invaluable life skill.
Swimming Activities
1, 2, 3… Oopsie!
This is the activity used as a measure of water safety. If a student falls into the pool, can they turn around and swim back to catch the wall and then climb out?
There are quite a few puzzle pieces needed to do a 1, 2, 3… Oopsie! These are blowing birthday bubbles; putting your eyes underwater and using your windscreen wipers; spinning around in the washing machine; turning the pool into bubble bath with your kicks; swimming with your peanut butter sandwich; catching the wall with your pincers and then crab walking to the step and climbing out.
