Applications are invited for the following locum position from 1 September 2026 to 6 November 2026.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should:
- hold a Bachelor of Education and/or Post Graduate Certificate in Education;
- be registered with SACE;
- be fully qualified to teach Computer Applications Technology, Robotics and Computer Literacy;
- have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar teaching position;
- understand current best practices in education; and
- have experience in independent education to Grade 10 level and with the IEB curriculum.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Suitable candidates should:
- have a willingness to engage with students and their families on a personal level to help children in the best way possible;
- demonstrate planning and organisational skills with superior detail orientation;
- possess a willingness to contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme;
- possess knowledge of using ICT to enhance teaching;
- support the Catholic ethos of the school; and
- commit to the school’s transformation, equity and belonging strategic objectives in support of an equitable, inclusive and safe school environment for all.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be required to:
- create appropriate teaching materials and resources;
- be responsible for all duties as required of a teacher;
- lead a classroom first by example of conduct and then by instructing students through excellent teaching;
- adhere to the guidelines and requirements of the school’s calendar; and
- remain abreast of developments and best practices in teaching.
