MATRIC CLASS OF 2009 – Candice Nicolas

It was May 2016 when Candice Nicolas and co-owner Jade Greef decided to take a leap of faith and open up a food truck, The Filthy Moustache. They were inspired by the movie they watched, Jon Favreau’s Chef, which is about a chef who quits his position at a world-renowned restaurant to start a food truck business that travels all over the US.
Many would wonder why the name “filthy moustache”, well it’s because they serve mouthwatering gourmet burgers and hot dogs which can be mean and messy, but are really good! You need a napkin. They are so good that they collected the Food Truck of the Year Award in 2019 and 2020!
To date, The Filthy Moustache food truck has now expanded to 7 set ups including a restaurant in Midrand. To find out more about The Filthy Moustache, please visit their website on www.thefilthymoustache.co.za
In addition to co-owning a successful business, Candice holds a 3 year Marketing Management Diploma and a Psychology Degree from Unisa.
Well done Candice, we are very proud of you!
