Receptionist-High School

Applications are invited for the following permanent position commencing in September 2024.


Applicants should:

have a Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification

have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar environment

● be computer literate with excellent verbal, written and communication skills

● have experience working with an online school management information system

be able to work effectively as part of a team

● be able to work under pressure and respond positively to change


Suitable candidates should:

● be flexible, yet assertive in maintaining the school’s standards and protocols

have excellent time-management skills

be optimistic, warm and have a nurturing disposition

● support the Catholic ethos of the school

commit to the school’s transformation, equity and belonging strategic objectives in support of an equitable, inclusive and safe school environment for all


The successful candidate will be required to:

answer all external and internal calls and route them to specific people as appropriate

act as the first face of the school and strive to uphold the school’s standards and values at all times when engaging with all stakeholders

administer basic first aid to students

● interact with students, teachers, parents, visitors and other staff

manage the reception’s electronic diary and ensure that all boardroom bookings are effectively and efficiently managed

liaise with security about secure access control

record student late comers and early leavers

● manage bus bookings

Other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the Management Team
